How to Read a Standing Platform
The course speaks in the present tense over a build ladder — this module is the contract for reading it: one plaque, three levels, one map.
echd speaks in the present tense over a build ladder. Every module, verb, key, and port named on this page is real; the composition into one standing platform is the vision the ladder builds.
The module
echd.design.md §3 · echd.roadmap.mdEvery page of this course carries one violet plaque: Vision · real substrate. It is the register's whole contract in two sentences — the platform is described in the present tense, as already built and working perfectly, and every module, verb, key, port, and id named on the page is real. What the plaque waives is narrower than it looks: only the composition is the vision. The pieces exist; the standing whole is what the build ladder assembles. Because the register is declared once, the prose never hedges toward the future — build state lives on chips and in the roadmap, never in sentences.
The map has three levels: a chapter is a landing (the argument in one sitting), a module is a hub (one idea, held and turned), a dive is a page (one move, all the way down). Eight chapters, thirty-two modules, ninety-six dives. And beneath the map sits the canonical grounding map — the course's evidence ledger: every claim points at a file that exists, vision-layer rows wear ◐ and name the rung that backs them, and the one place the platform does not supersede its substrate is declared in amber. Reading the course is a loop: trust the plaque, walk the levels, and when a claim matters — follow it into the map.
